Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum so please be gentle with me.

My situation at the moment is that I have started a claim with HMCS against NatWest for £1700 of bank charges and have received written confirmation that the claim was issued on 30th May 2007, and officially served on 4th June. It also states that Natwest have until 18th June to respond.

A day after the claim was issued there was and option to request judgement on my case file with HMCS. I filled this out and requested that Natwest paid the whole amount owed immediatly. Again I have received written confirmation that this judgement was entered against Natwest on 31st May 2007.

What happens now?? Does this mean that Natwest have admitted the money is owed and do I just sit back and wait for my money to be returned to me?

As I said I am completly new to this situation so I have no idea on what happens next so any help you can give me will be gratefully received.

Thanks

SuperWalshie

I am very confused, I dont understand how the judgement could have been accepted as you have not waited the required time without a response from Natwest. Normally when you ask for judgement on MCOL it wont let it proceed unless they have failed to comply with set dates.

Hi and welcome to the site,

tongue2.gif

You've definately taken the first step into claiming back what's rightfully yours.

Spend time reading the FAQ's and the Step by Step guide as this will stop you making mistakes along the way. Use the letters and spreadsheets in the Templates Library as these have all been tried and tested in successful claims. Read as many threads as you can especially ones that relate to your bank. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how stupid they may seem, but please remember that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience only and that you should seek expert advice if required.

Once you start the process of your claim remember to open a thread in the relative bank forum, this will enable you, and others helping you, to keep track of your claim.

All the best in your claim!!

I am also claiming charges from Natwest via the same route as you. On the last day given by the court Natwest acknowledge the claim, this then gave them 28 days to contest the claim, which they have done via a solicitor. That's where I,m at and is the reason I have joined this forum because I don't understand the solicitors letter
