Hi all,

I hope this is in the right place - it is RBS, although through Tesco. If I've posted in the wrong place, mods, please move it :) .

The story so far is:

I sent the SAR for my own and my husband's Tesco Mastercard at the end of March, to the Tesco Card Services address. No answer. I then sent another letter giving them 7 days to respond before complaining to the Information Commissioner. After 10 days we both received letters (I received the same one twice!) saying that they were sorry we were unhappy, and they could offer me £8.48 (the real charges run to 100s) which was the difference between the original £20 charged and the £12 which was fair. My husband's letter offered him £16 (again the charges run to 100s). At no time have I ever had any kind of statements, in fact the only thing which was included was the world's smallest printout of some of the charges.:-x

What do I do now? They haven't sent me any statements, only something showing me what they say they have charged, and they are offering an absolute pittance requesting that if I accept the amount I can't come back and ask for more.

Any help will be gratefully received :) .

Where did the letters come from? RBS or Tesco?

In other words, who is responsible for overcharging you?

Because on the face of it you have not been furnished with what you requested - severe letter demanding that your original request be complied with.

“It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business.”
