hi is there any letter I can use to claim all charges at once on an old mortgage account as i have found the following fees and charges were added but cant find a letter to claim both - Have a look at the top of the mortgage forum, all the letters you need are there, amend as to your requrements

arrears fee - £25.00

arrears fee - £30.00

statement fee - 12.00 This is not a penalty charge. However check over the statements when you get them as at times they make the charge to the borrower as well as receiving a fee for this service from a broker!

early redemption - £494.17 Please read all info before you being to claim back this. A lot of cases have been lost as the mortgages are claiming and winning the fact that they are not a penalty, rather they are a charge for you exercising your right to leave!

redemption administration charge - £225.00 Check on your original contract, there should be a charge mentioned for this on there...you then just write and ask for the excess back, see other threads on meafs and exit fees

Redemption write off - £42.29 I think this is what they have written off your account...they paid for you (it happens sometimes where a charge is added at the last minute and as they have already redeemed the mortgage they write off the excess)

also please let me know if any of these cannot be claimed

thanks in advance

I hope this helps, although it may not have been the news you wanted. Before you begin anything then read all the threads in the mortgage forum. You will see some cases have been won and some lost.

The majority of cases that have been lost have ended with a huge amount of costs to the claimant. The mortgage companies are using a clause in the contract (redeemed or not) which entitles them to recover legal fees. also read mevswift for a guide as to what could happen if you begin the process

Good luck
