ok, again, this is from queen of the technophobes so don't go laughin at me if it's a silly thing -

but are you on windows xp - if so, click start - go on help and support and use the system restore - and put it on a date - like yesterday or whenever from before you made the changes.

i think if you've actually gone back to factory settings and started over with the computer - you wouldn't have any address book or old e -mails - they will be gone - but if you've done something else to it - then system restore could work. that's it - i'm out of ideas - i barely can turn the thing on!

If you re-installed windows then in order to save information you would have had to save it to disc or another computer and then reload it once you had reinstalled.

That is what the local pc fixers told me anyway! I am about as good as lat by the sound of it. Now if it was a brick built pc I could fix it!

CM, colin cant be inside her pc. He's in St's wardrobe!:)

DG Solicitors

12 Catchorpe Road,

Edgbaston

Birmingham

B15 1QZ

10.07.2007

Dear Sir/Madam,

ME v HSBC Bank Plc

Claim No: ********

I write in relation to the claim as detailed above, and specifically the order made by A Proper Officer dated 15 May 2007

You were ordered by the court to file and serve the documents upon which your client intends to rely at the forthcoming hearing. For your reference, a copy of the order to which I refer is enclosed with this letter. I do this as it is only 14 days till the last date of service 24.07.2007

I have, to date, received no such documents and accordingly I hereby request that you do serve upon me these documents at your earliest convenience.

I consider your non-compliance to be particularly unacceptable in view of the fact that you are specialist solicitors representing a large financial institution with vast resources, and feel that your litigation should be conducted in a professional manner befitting of such a prestigious organisation.

Please note that the evidence upon which I intend to rely will be filed and served pursuant to the order of the court on 15 May 2007

Should you not comply with the order within 14 days of this letter, I shall write representations directly to the district judge dealing with this claim, to inform the court of your continued non-compliance and invite further order to be made that either A your defence be struck and judgement awarded as you have no intentions of attending any court hearing and settle immediately prior or on the court steps and B Ask you be ordered by the court to fully disclose the composition of your fees and you be given 7 days from the date of the Preliminary hearing to respond. I will leave the decision to the court as it sees fit

We do feel very strongly that as we have been in communication with you for many months and your blatant refusal to acknowledge letters, emails or faxes will show the court exactly who has behaved in a reasonable and professional manner and this will only enhance or request .

I look forward to your prompt response.

Yours faithfully
