Was just wondering if anyone had received their charges back since Lloyds 1st successful case? I'm at present waiting for Nationwide to submit their defence - they have another 21 days. Do you think they will actually submit a defence and let it get to the court date stage? - Woolwich did this and they were the longest by far - taking nearly 6 months from start to finish.

It is standard practice for Nationwide to submit a defence but they will probably settle the claim prior to the court date stage.

Stick with it

Great thanks. This is my 3rd claim with claims against Halifax and Woolwich both being successful. Halifax paid out a day after their acknowledgement of service was lodged, Woolwich were bug*ers. Just wondering how Nationwide were fairing.

Hi rascal, i just came across your thread. I am a Lloyds customer and having sent my LBA to them on the 17th May, i received a letter from them Saturday, also dating 17th May, offering me more than my claim as full and final settlement of my claim. That effectively means they paid out onthe prelim letter!! Hope that helps ease your nerves?? :D The money went in after 3 working days too...................
