Received an offer yesterday of £1710.00 on a claim (for £2360 plus interest and costs) that was served on the 6th May. Rejection letter in post tomorow!

Also, received somebody elses 6years worth of statements in post!!! Have forwarded them on to rightful owner but wondered how common this was - Data Protection indeed!!!!!!!!!

Keep the faith :)

Did you let Barclays know about the error and have you considered reporting them the Information Commissioner?

You must remember that they are very, very busy at the monent, poor loves,so they are bound to make mistakes.

Hi PP

Barclays did get a letter pointing out the mistake - no response yet though. I was wondering how often this happened, they must be busy!!!!!!!!

I have seem a couple of other threads on CAG where people have received someone elses statements and I think that was a mention of this on a recent Watchdog programme.

Yes-they are busy but it does not excuse what has happended.

I still feel that the ICO should be made aware of this as it is clear breach of the Data Protection Act.
