I rent a small workshop to run my business in. The landlord is currently investigating the possibility of building offices above it to rent out.

Unfortunately one of the walls is not strong enough to support any building work on it. To rectify this the builders would have to take the wall down remove the roof and dig up the floor. This would take around 2 months to complete.

Due to the nature of the business it would be very difficult and costley to move to other premises either temporally or permanently.

There is no signed agreement between me and the landlord.

Can anybody give me any clues to my rights and how I stand?
