My bank charges overdraft fee for unauthorised overdraft. My account was overdran just before the end of the month for two days but was in credit (with small balance)on the day the charge was made at the end of the month. This resulted in my acount going overdrawn again .My bank chaged me overdraft fee again due to this in the following month.

Can anyone tell me if it was legal for a bank to charge overdraft fee on the overdraft that resulted from application of overdraft fee.

I stopped direct debit with the bank and it charged me a fee for stopping the direct debit. However, the originator of the direct debit presented the dd for payment .My bank charged me charge of £25 fro returning the dd ...can the bank do this?

hi and welcome, you can reclaim the charges that a bank levy for going over your overdraft. I must admit I have not heard of a bank charging a fee for cancelling a DD.

Have a read through the FAQs and the step by step instructions linked in my signature. Start a thread in your bank forum and post your questions/progress there.
