Hi All

I was very lucky and won my claim against Lloyds for nearly £800 with interest. I am now helping my brother do the same with HSBC. Bless him but he has somehow managed to rack up £3500 pounds in the last 5 years and I have a couple of questions:

1. Over the years HSBC have changed some of the wording for their charges and I need to know if I can claim for all of them? I am also not sure if I can claim for all these charges so any advice wouls be helpful

"Card Misuse" - between £10 and £30.

"Total Charges" - Rang the bank who were very unhelpful but seemed to think these were unauthorised overdraft charges. From 2006 onwards the statments refer to "excess overdraft charges" but I am unsure if these are the same things?

I don't want to use these charges if they are not things I can claim on, so just checking the semantics to see if anyone recognises the wording.

2. As the amounts are so high, is there a different procedure I have to follow?
