I just joined today ... I am with the awful Natwest and have decided I want to get my money back. Last month alone they charged me £38 twice for bouncing a DD and then £40 for going in to unauthorised overdraft. I am sure it doesn't cost that much for someone to reject a DD!!!

Anyway with one thing and another I am absolutely skint and looking at another month with no money after paying all my bills :(

I am busy reading lots of informative threads about how to go about this, is sending the £10 fee crucial?? I haven't got a tenner to spare!

If you havn't got your statements for the last six years, then yes, I'm afraid the tenner is unless you have online statements for that time. However, many institutions don't charge for the statements so you may be lucky! Start your own thread in the NatWest forum where others who have tackled them can help you (each bank has slightly different tactics!)

Read the FAQs and Step by Step Instructions to familarise yourself with the various stages. Good luck!

Hi everyone, Very excited to be part of the Consumer Action Group

Im claiming from 5 banks

Halifax

+ Halifax (mortgage)

Clydesdale

Nationwide

Capital One

MBNA

I was on Martin Lewis's site before, and it was great, but, You would not belive the negative and offensive material floating round regarding this Llyods win. Basically because that site has other Moneysavers using it. not everyone is so keen to claim back the money from the banks. all the 'I'm all right jack's' of this world are fuming because they are scared that they might get charged from the banks and are are calling all claiments everything from irresponsible, freeloaders, incompetant, greedy to Theives and ****. I think it will be nicer on here as we are all in the same boat. Glad to be here.

Hi and welcome! Please start a thread in the numerous banks forums that you are claiming from - you should be here for sometime! Others can then help you with your respective banks/claims. Good luck
