Hello, i am new to this, obviously i have heard the news but today i have decided to see if can get anything back. I am with Barclays (for now) and was wondering about requesting backdated statements, do they supply them on request? Do they charge for them? or do i even need them? I have not kept any of my statements but over the years the charges are substantial, any advice appreciated.

thanks

I may be being really thick here but the list of parahute accounts lists some bounced direct debit charges at £30+. Are they still leaving themselves open to future claims? If I sue Barclays for past charges due to them being disproportionate e.g. £35 are they then going to reduce the charges or if I incur more in the next year or so, I will be able to claim those back too?????

Have I missed something?

The banks still argue that the 12,00 as mentioned in tyhe OFT still does not apply to them only Credit cards.

The OFT is investigating Bank charges but the report is only expected later in the year.

Some banks have already reduced their so called "fees" which are disguised as penalty charges.Hsbc have reduced theres while others are still the same.

Yes you should reclaim later any further charges.
