Hiya,

I've finally managed to get around to registering on here. What a brilliant site by the way, good to see there's so many people willing to help out there. I have received my bank statements for the last six years and I'm in the process of cross checking this with my internet banking, just to make doubley sure. I plan to send off my claim letter this week, I think it's about £1500 worth of charges. Fingers crossed no other judges rule against us mere mortals, that are just trying to get back what's rightfully ours!

Good luck all, speak to you soon

Titch

Hi titch, are you blind like that cat? Good luck with your claim. Not sure if you're aware but Lloyds won a case yesterday in Birmingham, there's a long thread on the ins and outs in the Lloyds forum, i'd give it a read. It is by no means the end of this as it was just one case in a court where laws can't be set so no Judge in the land is bound to follow suit. Indeed up until this point there has been no other bank victories and it would appear that this one was just a fluke.

Good luck and if you need any help you know where I am.

OK I've finally sorted myself out and have prepared my request for repayment of charges letter today with a breakdown of all charges I've paid in the last 6 years attached. My question is where do I send it? My local branch or a particular department? All help gratefully received.

Many Thanks

So I received a letter back from the Recovery Centre at Andover, it's almost 2 pages long (yawn!). General idea is we're sorry you're unhappy, they're not default charges, so you're entitled to nothing . . . so leave us alone. Obviously that's my interpretation of it. So what next? MCOL?

Thanks in advance

Please help me I don't want to get this wrong.

Hi Titch noticed your not sure on where to send your letters to Lloyds so here's a list of contacts you might find useful. :)

Thanks Red.

I sent my LBA to Andover recovery centre, their letter said to reply to them if I had any further queries. Should I send a copy to the other address too?

I personally used the addresses in that list of contacts, but to be honest I never ever received a reply to my LBA so I wouldnt worry. Stick to your timescale, they only seem to settle once court action is started.

I'll just wait for now then. I don't suppose it matters which part of LTSB you're being ignored by does it!

Thanks Red, going to have a look for your thread now.

Hi Titch

Have you had any feed back from your LBA yet.

I sent mine the day after yours and didnt get notification from RM online so I sent a second one on Monday. Im wondering as it was the weekend that they had the RM strike if a few items went missing. Im counting 14 days from today before court.

No reply yet Roy but then I don't expect to receive one to be honest just going through the motions. I'm filing MCOL on 10 August as I will have given them 28 days notice then, I know I shouldn't be nice to them but am intrigued to see if anything will come back due to the speed they replied to my prelim letter, I had a reply within a week of sending it!
