I sent my DPA request to MBNA with copy of marriage certificate, proof of address, maiden name and previous address details as I was unable to find the account number (closed account). Today I got a letter from Angela Cormack in Advocates office advising they are unable to locate my account using the information provided - mmmm, they found me ok when I owed them money!

I am going to have a root around today in the depths of my roofspace for an old statement to find the account number. Anyone else expeienced this stalling?

Does anyone have an email address for this Angela girl -do they all follow the format [email protected]??

had no response at all from MBNA nor from the email I sent - re above. I have followed it up with another to her and cc Gareth Tunnicliffe. Maybe that will spur them on.

Received copy statements today - more like screen prints. In this instance they did not charge me for them (they are all heart!!)

I had a quick look through - from what I can see there are 3 missing so I have emailed them to ask for them asap.

I am claiming for late payment charges and over limit charges - this is correct isn't it? My other claims have only been for late payment charges (capital one).

Its a pity I cant claim for interest on cash withdrawals - one month it was £79.60

I'm going to get my prelim typed up and ready - I dont want to send it until I confirm that there were no charges in the 3 statements they "forgot" to send!

do what i did. try and read between the lines of the missing three months and add them on. if you are unsure then just add the charge on anyway. they will tell you if you are wrong. They just agreed with me as it would probably have only been one charge out if anything. they missed seven of mine due to "technical difficulties", quite funny as these were the seven with the most charges on !

I emailed my prelim to Gareth Tunnicliffe on 20 July, I got the usual we need 28 days response... Tomorrow is the date to issue LBA - should I email it or post it? I originally had gone down the road of emailing (only with MBNA) as its just a small amount and I hoped to tempt them to settle early!

What do you guys think?
