Just sent myself an e-mail home to remind me to watch Martin Lewis on Tonight with Trevor McDonald at 8 o'clock where the programme is dedicated to unfair bank charges.

Compulsive viewing for us don't you think :-)

Compulsive viewing....and very likely to see a large number of new members over the next few days.

Could I take this opportunity to ask that those who are some way through the process, or have actually got your money back, please keep an eye out for anyone who needs advice and support.

Thanks, we are all stronger when we act together.

Lets hope that after the exposure the great bank charges rip-off is getting lately the growing swell of claims turns into a nightmare tidal wave for the banks.

Well said Alan, all members familiar with the process should help the newcomers out, the more people that carry through their claims the better for everyone. (except the banks :D)

Bank of Scotland: Claiming £699.47, SETTLED IN FULL at moneyclaim stage

Sisters NatWest - Claiming £1056 - SETTLED at AQ stage

Natwest CC - Claiming £804, SETTLED IN FULL at LBA stage

GF Natwest - claiming £749.33, moneyclaim filed - SETTLED IN FULL 04/08

Is anyone from here taking part in this that we know of? Will this site be mentioned?

BEFORE starting your claim read through the FAQ's and if there's something you aren't sure of then ask.

At last got through !!!I thought it was quite well done although I think it should have been longer than 30 minutes.Looks like the computers were on in everyones house after that.Didnt actually give any links but I guess everyone will be doing the google search and its there ok.Interesting to see how things will go from here. Will they launch a counter attack if claims become too much ?I reckon its a good idea to get some post office and Royal mail shares now.......They look set to make lots of money from this as well as the claimants !!

Finally, I've managed to get on the forum!! I forgot about the programme and missed it [Eastenders, I'm ashamed to say!]. Wondered if anyone would have a link or be able to upload it for people like me who missed it? I've been told that everyone seemed to be on our side, and the bank boss couldn't explain the charges.

It was brilliant indeed. I must admit I thought about Dave's boiler and thought it must have been filmed before the disaster with the boiler. Surprised at how young he is. When I heard the French accent I knew that was Bookworm. Ooh la la. Is Lisa Dudek, who was also featured one of our members I wonder.

Seriously though, it has taken me ages to get on the website tonight so I hope the site doesn't crash at this crucial time. The number of people signing up is awesome, and yes, of course we will all try and help mods with the newbies. I was a bit disappointed that Martin Lewis was emphasising that you can only claim for 6 years worth, when there are people (in particular SpiceSkull and AlanfromDerby) who are testing the boundaries by going further back in time, but I suppose that technically he might be correct.

Bloke from the BBA did nothing to convince anyone that charges are justifiable, but that is because they can't be justified. The campaign is certainly gathering momentum.:D

Wow busy tonight.

Thought the show was great. Glad more people will know. Hope fully this will lead to thenks re-visiting their policies on this.

Could lead to a back lash though. Just accepted my offer from the bank, but deleted the confidentiality part. Hope they don't change their minds now! ;-)

Cracking programme.

Cheered, stamped, jeered, smacked thighs, punched air, toasted BAG and Dave et al.

Nearly threw up behind sofa at performance of BBA mouthpiece, who managed to raise SMUGNESS to an art form.

Took two hours to log on, but who cares?

Help for new members will be offered with pleasure.

Onwards and upwards

Wouldn't have missed the program for the world !

My son also saw it.... he has been holding back to see how my claim works out, but having seen the program he now wants me to sort a claim out for him. :D :D

It goes without saying that any help that can be given, will be given.

I don't usually think much of those investigative programmes on tv since they tend

to promise much but produce very little. This was different- well thought out and constructed. It is just a shame that it was Martin interviewing the guy from BBA

and not Dave. I don't think he would have let him get away with claiming that

what they charged was what it cost!

Thank god he wasn't Pinocchio or Martin would be blind in one eye.
