hi all

sent lba 24/4 claiming £1150

 

received offer on 1st may offering to pay £750 into my account in 10 days.

do i need to send a rejection letter or can i still file in court after 14 days.

also how does this affect the intrest calculation on my spreadsheet

Hi CRCR,

 

Yes send a rejection letter - you'll find one to suit (depending on the stage of your claim) in the Template section.

Carry on with your claim as you have not recieved a satisfactory response.

Assuming you are simply claiming the 8% statuary Interest when you issue a court claim (And not Contractual Interest) then the "goodwill payment" is easy to deal with.

Simply enter it in your spreadsheet under the other bank charges, but using a negative number (ie -750). Use the date it is paid in to your account. The spreadsheet will automatically work out the affect on interest.
