Hi guys

I'm doing a claim against Natwest for my OH. I was wondering if anyone could advise if it gets to the stage where he is required to attend court (just sent LBA) would I be able to attend for/with him? He doesn't like hassle and I have done everything for him. He woudln't know what to do if he had to go by himself!!

Cheers

It would go to your local court. The banks have'nt gone into court yet for bank charge claims, but you should always be prepared. We have on this site the court bundle which has pretty much everthing you need.

Yes you could attend with him, however the chances of this getting to court are very very slim indeed. :)

Oh Goody!

Cheers. I'm gonna help some friends who would otherwise not bother and I know they would be put off if they had to go to court etc.

That's great.

Thanks

You have to be aware that you are taking on a large financial institution and it may end up in court. They have'nt gone yet on bank charges alone. Someone recently got back £37,000 without going to court. You do have to be prepared though, and we can help.

Ah Thanks UK, that's really kind.

To be honest not too worried if it ends up at court as it seems almost certain that the banks won't be able to win the case. They will then be liable for costs etc (and my OH would get the 8% interest!).

I was also wondering about something I've seen in threads where people are claiming back money for the time they spent on the case?? Can anyone enlighten me?????
