hi i sent a letter to the woolwich on march 29th 2007 asking for details of my bank charges have recieved a reply today 4th may 2007, witha list of all my charges over the last 5 years this list totals £8212.50 !!


I will now be sending a letter requesting that this amount is repaid to me within 14 days.

Suugest that you follow the following:-


Please find your banks forum and start a thread;

(your name) V (banks name)


Other members with experience of your bank can offer informed advice.

use the template letters in order. Stick to the timetable in there.

Lets hope at this point they accept the money owed and just pay up!!


If not though!! - and you get the standard response in reply of - we are sorry you are not happy- we will look into it please wait 4-8 weeks, just thought i would give you the next bit!


Many people ask, once they get a reply like this, do I have to wait? NO!


If I didn't hear anything at all do I have to wait? NO


You gave them your schedule. So then go on to


3. Letter before action - Consumer version - asking for it back
