Hi, I wrote to Lloyds TSB using a template letter requesting charges over the past 6 years and they responded by offering me £70. This aint near what i've paid but they never sent what i ask for. What do i do now? This was last week and they have already put the £70 into my account. I need a list of charges.

Any ideas folks?

I would write back to them to say that the £70 that they have paid you is only partial settlement and that you will still proceed with the court action for the remainder.

Cant believe it. Just had a statement today with £1250 paid in. That's the overdraft amount which has been cleared. Was only due £750 in charges, and the downside is they have closed my account. I have to open another account with someone else, which i hope wont be a problem.

If they have closed the account in 'retaliation' of you claiming charges back then you could complain to the OFT. I'm sure I have read somewhere about A & L being penalised for closing a customers account as a result of charges being refunded.

There are loads of banks that will offer a basic bank account ( no credit check ). Is there a particular bank you want to go to & I can check availability for you?
