hello everyone

i have sent a claim to nat west for 2200, they have replied with an offer of 1200, as i have an overdraft of £2000. i am worried that if i take them to court for the full amount they may take the overdraft away

That is a possibilty. They can call the overdraft in at any time. The banks have'nt been to court yet over bank charges, it's your call about the overdraft, but i would want the money back rather than have an overdraft. There are some links below to help you get around the site.

it still leaves you £200 (plus interest), and leaves you o/d free. sounds like a win/win situation to me:)

update

had a telephone conversation with nat west apparently they were replying to an original letter when i only asked for £1200 because i was not aware that the time that i could get 6 years statements for £5. it appears that they are willing to pay my £2253 on receipt of a copy of my second letter.
