Hello everyone,

Just had my 1st taste of victory thanks to Consumer Action Group

Received more than £1700 from the Halifax

Got a letter offering £850

Called the number provided to confirm payment and delivery, asked the guy how much I was charged over the 6 year period, advised £1700, asked was I entitled to the full amount, Halifax then offered me £1500 to end the dispute, I asked was I entitled to the full amount, there was a long pause then a snigger followed by yes, I was shocked by how easy this was, no fight just a sales man trying to negotiate the best deal for the Halifax (must have targets to hit) in the end I received 2 cheques for £850!

I have sent letters to the Nationwide, Capital One, MBNA and Egg.

I am having problems with the Natiowide, sent 2 letters and received 2 letters back saying no, I am not entitled to any refunds, any help on this matter would be great.

Egg are sending me the list of charges (Free of charge) as I have now closed that account (very helpful I must add) and will again would like to know if I should use the same procedure as I did for the Halifax.

Thank you for reading

Congrats on getting it back from Halifax. Remember, you are always entitled to the full amount, though - they shouldn't have taken it in the first place, so the money has always been, in full, yours :)

It's all in the FAQ's. Follow the process.

Request for payment, LBA, court claim. FAQ's again :)
