Hi, I have gone through thte battle of the bank and am now at the stage of a settlement figure from HSBC - they are offering me an out of court settlement figure but have said that i can only claim from March 26th, which is the date that the court summons was actioned. Can i claim from the first date i sent the letter to HSBC asking to refund my charges ie; 3rd July 2000?

I go to court on the 8th May 2007....

Many thanks

Hi there,

You have every right to claim from the date of the dispute and action commencing.

If they could get away with that, then I am sure many of them would like to try to cut off and stall for what can be several months of hefty charges!

Don't let them bully you. Stand your ground. The claim began with your first letter of asking for it back!

Good luck!
