Hi guys,

I had a reply from Egg offering me around half of the charges refund I requested.

I sent the ' I accept this as a partial settlement' letter, and the day after they would have received my letter, the credit to my account was removed.

I am not suprised that they removed the credit but is it Legal for them to remove any trace of it from my statement?

Surely my statement should show this removal as an ammendment. Or is it just another 'lets cover our arse' tactic

Hi I think this is Egg not wanting to admit that they will pay back anything

I received charges back from Halifax and when I checked my statement the refund was "Cash" as if I had paid in some cash. If I had not copied their offer of full payment letter I would have nothing in writing to prove they had paid me.

go get them dpick:p

cannot find it A to Z

Update,

mysteriously today the refund is now showing on my account again as the lastest transaction (but dated the 7th April).

Maybe its a coincidence that the 14 days I gave them before filing my court claim is due tomorrow. :)
