Hi!

 

Under the data protection act the data controller does have 40 days, but the 40 days is from the date of identifying you as the data subject. The data protection act is the link below.

 

Data Protection Act 1998

 

If you included your £10 then you have complied with the act.

 

So I would leave it till the 47th day. If this has past then you can send them a non compliance letter.

Wait till the 47th day then send the above.

 

You should receive your information! If not, the next step would be to file in court (costs you will get back as part of your claim) which is an easy process and isn't scary at all.

I'm in a similar situation, but I have found the e-mail support guys from internet banking to be very helpful. ALL the telephone numbers I have tried have been perminently engaged.

Remember LTSB statements from July 2002 are available online.

Be VERY careful whose advice you listen too
