Hi All,

Just sent in my LBA to the Halifax.

Just wondering if there was any consistency with the way Halifax deal with the LBA letters?

Do they always write back and offer a partial settlement?

Do you have to chase them via the phone?

If anyone has any info, could you let me know please to give me an idea on how to proceed.

Also, I keep reading about the Halifax saying letters etc have not been received, I have found the best way (if you can) is to take the time to go to your local branch and hand in the letter(s) asking for a copy which they will sign as proof of receipt for you to keep. I address all letter to the manager of my branch and if they have not been received by Halifax Head Office they you can go and ask him what happened to the letters.

Regards,

Fozzy

They have no set ways.

Not everyone gets an offer, but a lot of people do phone at this stage and basically say if they get the full settlement they will drop the court charge.

Most of the time it works, but a lot dont bother and just file at court. It worth it with the added interest.

But if you do phone the chances are you might get the run around. Have a read around the thread for new phone number, as some people post them when they get succsess.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you get on.
