I've sent the intial letter requesting my bank statements/lists of charges. the 40 day deadline is up next week, but still my bank (NatWest) has not cashed my cheque. What happens if they do not supply the info by the deadline? Is there another letter/step to take?

Hey angel, welcome on board the nat west forum. Personally, i'd give them a ring and explain their 40 day deadline is nearly up - just to see if the info's on it's way. Once the deadline has passed though - if they haven't sent the info you need to have a look through here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/6986-data-protection-act-non.html As well as letter templates, there are some really useful links to other threads on here. Hope this helps a little - let us know how you get on. Good luck, hedgey xxx

Do what I did....

I sent a reminder letter after 21 days....it worked.I recieved my statements 2 days later.

They did not cash my cheque either.

Failing that send a non compliance letter...
