hi all. can anyone point me in the right direction. I have cca moorcroft and received their standard letter which everyone seems to get from them. then around a week later they send another letter saying they have sent the matter back to original creditor.. Now, am i right in thinking that as they have done this i can now claim back the money i have paid moorcroft over the last year, or am i totally way off.. if so could someone put me in the right direction for a letter asking for the money back . many thanks

Personally, i'ld now send a CCA request to the original creditor to see where you stand exactly. You'll have a tough time getting any money back though, by paying in the first place you are acknowledging there's a debt, going down the route of the CCA request only verifies if there's a copy of the original agreement which would have to be produced in a court situation. Even if Moorcroft owned the debt it wouldn't be that much different.

Good luck, Dave.

I agree totally! Should a new DCA come along remind them that Moorcroft failed to provide an agreement, and threaten to report them to Trading Standards, for breaching the OFT's guidelines on debt collection...

Good luck, regards, Dave.
