Just setting this thread up, gonna be chasing FD for charges for a friend.

Can someone tell me how FD describe their charges? what are they listed as on the statements and how much are they.

Thanks 'GMYM', I know youre trying to help, and it is appreciated, but I already know all that, 'been there done it' sort of thing with Barclays.

This will be my third claim now, [two more to come]

Its just, as I dont bank with FD myself, and doing this for a third party, I dont know what their charges are listed as [e.g UNAUTH O/D FEE or UNPAID OUT] so just needed to know in advance what I would be looking for when I get the statements through.

Also, while on that subject, are they as bad as B's for taking over the 40 day limit to send out the SAR?

God I do feel like a newbie, [LOL].

Hi,

Part of the SAR compliance is that all the info that they send you would be easily understood by the average bloke in the street. So they should send you a full list of the abbreviations they use and what they mean (if its on the statements all the better). If they don't they haven't complied and you should rewrite to them informing them of such.

But they'll probably give you all the info first time - most do.

If you read through some of the FD threads you should get an idea of how long they take. Generally they are pretty quick and return the £10 fee.

They also tend to respond relatively promptly. In our case their partial offer was rejected by a letter sent Monday and full offer of charges arrived today.

Good Luck
