Hello to everyone, great site, some very interesting, intelligent and switched on people on here, would like to say thanks before I start to all who have shared their knowledge and given of their time so generously in this cause :) .


I am just at the taking them to court stage, I had 2 accounts with RBS up untill 2005, both my accounts without interest come in at just under 5k, I always knew my business account had racked up a lot of charges, but I was truely amazed to add up how much my personal account had also been penalised.


So will keep this thread updated, I have had the various time wasting replies from Sandy - he must be due a holiday by now ! (will be able to afford it with all the overtime he must be putting in). Told him I had enough of the Banks incompetance whilst I was still one of their customers without experiencing any more rubbish from them now !

Thanks T4FF; Sandy a girl, oops, that explains a lot though ! Only Joking, we all know the fairer sex are by far more efficient then us males, we just don't like to admit it too often...

I have just received in the post from Cobbetts, a defence and a request for further information, is this run of the mill ? Could someone please advise if I have to respond to anything here ? The request for info looks to be asking just for the list of charges, which I have already sent to the bank twice. Also they mention the fact that I stated the charges "are an unfair penalty under the terms in consumer cointracts regs 1999" and they ask me to specify all of the facts relied on by the me in support of this statment, in particular to identify the regulations I alleged are unnforceable.


Any help appreciated, thanks.

Well, your letter sounds like the normal attempt to put you off...


Hydra has posted here, he will tell you with more confiendence...but that is pretty much what it is...IMO...


Read a lot more from the 'others' ( not LOST) , and you'll see what I mean...


I will keep an eye on ur thread, and if i can help more, I will...


Were claiming too, just having to wait for 14 days for our LBA to expire...
