My initial letter has been sent and acknowledged, although the acknowledgement appears to be in the form of a standard letter signed by a 'customer relations advisor' from a different office than which the letter was sent. My concern is that in the letter they have given themselves upto May 11th 2007 to in their words 'let me have an answer or update'. Because they have set a date for a response will it affect the time process within the claim proceedure or should i just carry on with my timescale as advised. What do you think folks?:???:

Hi Blue Boy, I had the same and everybody here has said keep to the timescales that you set and not the banks. They will drag it out as long as possible otherwise. I had three letters stating 8 weeks and if I followed their timescale the first three stages ie SAR, request for payment, and LBA would take 6 months instead of two :D If you are unsure of anything ask the very experienced people on here they are very good at giving sound advice Good Luck

by this you mean your SAR? did you include your payment?
upto May 11th 2007 to have an answer
Yes this is a VERY standard letter, as you have been advised by Lasty, stick to the deadlines YOU set. This is YOUR claim not theirs..

If I dont reply to a direct question please feel free to PM me.
