Am i within my rights to ask a DCA to prove they own a debt or that they are acting on behalf of a client. If so can anyone point me in the right direction to a letter i should send asking for this info... many thanks

I've had good response from a standard CCA request, but make sure it has this line:

You are further notified that you are obliged to supply these documents, whether you are the original creditor or not under section 189 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

If they are acting as an agent they'll pass it on to their client anyway.

Be VERY careful whose advice you listen too
