I wonder if anyone could advise me please? My court date is 1 May, and I sent my court bundles and witness statements to the County Court and to Barclays Litigation Dept 14 days prior to the court date, as the court requested.

I have not however received anything from Barclays - should I not have received their bundle within the same timeframe?

As I haven't - should I contact the court?

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond :)

My court date is 1 May, should I not have received their bundle

Man that made me laugh, received their bundle oh PMSL

B's have NO INTENTION of producing a court bundle cos they aint going to court.

About 10 days before youre hearing, if not heard anything contact their Litigation Team.

DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR OFFER UNLESS YOU ARE 100% HAPPY.

Check back here before returning any offer okay?

Hehe, well.. I like to be polite about these things :D

So I will ring them on Monday... what exactly am I saying to them?

And am I right in thinking I can ask the to pay the £120 court fee I had to pay too?

Thanks for the help, guys, it is really appreciated :)

How about, I have a court date on 1st May, I'm ringing to discuss settlement.

And am I right in thinking I can ask the to pay the £120 court fee I had to pay too?

Yes, you are correct.

Hi Krysta, could you connect me with the person who is dealing with my claim.

As one says, have your updated figures in front of you.

As well as your claim number.

you will find the conversation very low key and polite.

youre on the homeward bound now :)

:D

Just spoke to the person handling my claim. She said the full amount plus court fee would be in my account by tomorrow lunchtime.

Not counting my chickens yet until it's there but my donation to ths website will be on it's way and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who offered me advice and answered my questions.

YAY!

You say the full amount will be in your account I take it you have confirmed what you think is the full amount they agree with, I only ask because when they settled with me their figures did not agree with mine to begin with until I pointed it out then it was okay. Also I did not call the court until it was in my account, cleared and withdrawn I just do not trust them. Once it was cleared and withdrawn I phoned and sent the letter to the court confirming settlement had been reached. Not saying you will have any problems just think it is best to be cautious.

I agree, and thank you. The amount is actually slightly more than I had asked for, I assumed they have calculated the interest differently?

I'm definitely not writing to the court until the money is in my account, even though B'clays have asked for a copy of the letter to the court with the signed settlement letter from me.

I wish that like you I could withdraw the money from my account, unfortunately in my case it's paying off half of my overdraft :)

Just a little PS, today I asked Barclays what they wanted to do about the charges they have levied on my account since I started the reclaiming process last year and they agreed to pay them all now to save time! I said I was about to start a second claim... I'm in shock!

Hi, first of well done. I'm getting to the same stage as you and am going to try phoning them. I can't see the phone number in dar3n's signature - could someone post it please?

Cheers,

CB

Was that Krysta you were ringing? She answered both times I called yesterday, but I had trouble gettting past the voicemail of the person handling my claim.

Try emailing Krysta at [email protected]

Tell her your court date, your claim number, you'd like to discuss settlement - who is handling your claim? If you can't get thru on THEIR phone all their emails seem to be [email protected]
