Have just joined and am claiming unfair business charges from Bank of Scotland of around £30000. This includes cheque charges and an exit fee which was placed upon us when we wanted to extend an o/d facilitie. We did not have much choice but to accept the fee as the alternative was the imediate withdrawal of the o/d, indeed BOS had returned a small number of cheques without giving us any notice. Any ideas about unfair exit fees and what level should we be compensated/refunded on cheque fees. Have already been offered over 8k.

I think this is a bit of a tough one, and you need to ask the question in another forum. Have a look in the BOS and general debt forums, it may be that you have to split your question into 2 parts.

 

The exit fee in the general, and the charges in BOS, you should include details of what has happened, and how the £8K offer has come about.

 

This is a huge amount of money, so I suggest that some serious research and preperation goes into this, as a full refund would be quite a result (and no reason why it should not be obtainable either)
