Requested statements from Barclaycard and received the usual,2004-2006

like everyone else.

My question is,has anyone sent the second DPA letter theatening court action

and IC,and if so received the remaining statements?

Or just been ignored?

There are some members taking action through the courts regarding DPA non-compliance, not sure if Barclaycard is one or not, but the principle will be the same.

I think I've also read that where the initial letters regarding non compliance have been sent, they have miraculously changed their mind.

If you are keen to take action, and prepared to go to court over this issue, then have a look HERE

Am I right in thinking that after the 40 day timescale allowed for DPA request theres no obligation to give them more time ?

Is it a good idea to contact them say 7 days before expiry of the 7 to remind them they will be in breach for non comp to the request ?

You're best chasing them up... 40 days is the limit and after that stage it's either a complaint to the IC or a separate legal action against them for non-compliance. See the Templates folder for info.
