I read around these posts and others on moneysavingexpert site - is it just me or do Lloyds seem to be the most difficult bank to get money off?

and also the bank who seems to think we are THICK as well - by doing the standard letter replys and standard £750 offer once filed with courts!!

GET A GRIP LLOYDS and pay back what you owe

lol - sorry i'll get down off my soap box now.

love this site and reading sucess stories totally motivates me

thanks everyone

Lloyds TSB WILL pay

Lloyds TSB - amount owed £3200 (filed with moneyclaim 5th april 2007 - acknowledged 20th April - failed to defend - judgment issued 9th May for £3393.06)

Capital One - amount owed £260.00 plus interest Sent 2nd letter asking for money back 17th April 2007 - been slack on this one forgot about it - got letter week ago saying looking into it and will get back to me - will take more action once i get lloyds money in my account and get these guys to MCOL stage

---------------------------------------------------

very true - however they could save them selves loads of time and money as most of us would settle without interest (in my case interest if over £500.00) and possible a high percentage would settle for a reasonable offer (they owe me £2700.00 but would have settled for £2300 - £2500)

so really there costing themselves money silly people.

can i just ask - im with moneyclaim and papers were served 5th april (5+14 days = 24th april) i check on the web site everyday - will it show on the moneyclaim web site if they acknowledge or put in a defence?

this waiting game is very hard to play when you have not much in the way of patience like me :)

If it were me i'd give them 14 days from it being served then try to chase it up. No need for you to give them 5 days garce as the courts will probably let them submit a late defence anyway :(
