Hi i wondered if any one can answer a question for me , My partner has a lloyds bank account and also a lloyds platinum card but whenever she is late paying her card fees (monthly ) lloyds just take it out of either her current or savings account . She has no d/d or s/o set up is this action legal from lloyds.

Probably legal...but certainly not very good practise. Also, I would hope that they went to the current account first, rather than cause a loss of interest in the savings account unnecessarily.

Apparently its in their terms and conditions that should you default on a payment for a "Lloyds" credit card or "Lloyds" loan that they can help themselves from your personal Lloyds account.

And I guess if I was being cynical, they could charge you £35.00 if they take your personal account overdrawn in the process.

I am currently complaining to Lloyds about them doing this with my loan to them - they kept my overdraft open so that they could pay themselves even though I had specifically requested that the overdraft was removed. Aghhhhhhh!!

Hope that helps any way, Red.
