OK Killer you can claim the 34% from the beginning of your claim, I have never done this, there are spread sheets for it and I will find them for you if you need them.

The 8% you cannot claim until the court stage and you cannot claim them both, so it's make your mind up time, I will not do that for you:D

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/79524-key-arguments-against-compound.html This is the ins and outs of contractual interest, you have to be up for explaining this to a judge as to why you are claiming it. it is up to the judge if you get it or not, have a read, see what you think, and then I will find you the spread sheets. Lol yeah I think i'll go for the 8%

Anyway what is the 34% for and is that the exact figure (is it 34%)

I would appreciate if you can link to the spreadsheets. :D

Lor' bless you Killercop, why the lower rate when you can claim and WIN the higher rate that has been applied to your a/c for each charge that you have incurred?

Please get reading the FAQs and also do some reading of other threads in this Cap One Forum so you can gain an understanding of what you need to do ...

enaid... I'm with you this interest thing is getting confusing, plus I think they will tend to settle for the £626 quicker than the amount plus interest.

Have a think because the contractual will double your claim and there are a lot more people going for it now and able to help you with it.

The thing that put me of claiming it was that you have to be able to argue it in court (not that you are likely to get there mind), and understand it:confused: :D

Also you cannot do MCOL, as the proper POC (particulars of claim) that you need to put in are too long for the space allowed on their form. Hope you understand this, I do;) anyway good luck which ever you decide and let us know how you go on. Enaid

K

They will go through the same process whether you are re-claiming just charges OR charges plus interest. So you might as well get back what you have paid them already!!! With respect, if I can do it anyone can ...:p

I understand that but it just is to confusing :???: I haven't got a clue how to work the interest out and don't know where to start. I work full time on shifts and rarely get anytime to myself and dont particulary want to sit down and get stressed out over this.

Is it just a case of putting the figures into a spreadsheet ? i'm sure I could work that out.

It's just when I start going through the threads I just get lost and stressed. :???: :???:

OK Killer, I will get some one to talk to you who has just sussed this out and is willing to email the spread sheets to you. You must not use her as a punch bag, or I will be very cross. If she does not get back to you today do not worry, as like you say we are all busy peeps. Hang on in there and if you are getting too stressed just go for the 8% at court stage okidoki Enaid.

He he, punchbag !!!:D

K here's the spready you can use to work out you interest rate and then complete.

You will need to save it and then overtype the interest rate in the sheet with your own rate (whatever you've worked it out as) then when you include your charge reasons, charge amounts and dates, the sheet will work out the interest on each separate charge.

Give it and go and let us know how you get on. FWIW, I got really stressed out at the beginning through not being able to get my hed round this issue, but a bit of patience on my part, asking Qs and following guidance, helped me to WIN with CCI.

It appears that all rates are different, I have just asked someone, they took the hightest rate and the lowest rate and did the average. If you are not sure though I would ring Cap1
