Hi all

I sent my first letter with £10.00 to the abbey on the 25/02/07. Since then i have only received 14 months of statements. i contacted the abbey today to ask for the others 5 years of statements and was told that i should receive them by the 12/05/07. Can anyone tell me if i am correct in thinking that i should have received all six years of statements within the 40 days from the bank getting my first letter, if so can i complain to anyone about this

many thanks

Yes, you are right, Abbey should have supplied everything by about 6 April so the date they give will be late. You can complain to Information Commissioner about the delay. I think however from your later post that you have now got the statements or information. you can still complain to the IC if you want to.

Good luck with the claim. Abbey have been taking the claims to the wire so be prepared to go all the way to the court stage before they finally accept your claim. They will probably offer to pay half of your claim along the way.
