Hi, I'm claiming £6812 from Abbey which includes interest. Theyve sent me a letter saying they are not paying any charges back. I've paid a fee of £250 on MCOL and Abbey have acknowledged the claim and are putting their defence together and have 15 days left. I've received a letter from Abbey asking for 1) my account details, 2) details of how I've calculated the claim by date and amount of each charged claimed 3) details of how the interest is calculated, showing how interest is calculated by reference to each charge. They have also requested telephone and email detail. I am going to send them the original breakdown I sent them - I got this from the moneysavingexpert website. I've seen a more comprehensive spreadsheet on this site which calculates the interest by day. Should I continue to send my original spreadsheet and wait to complete the other one if needed? I don't want to give them more than they need but don't want to hurt my case either.:???:

YEs send them a copy f your interest spreadsheet. I'm not sure how comprhensive the MSE one is but it needs to show

CHARGE DATE - CHARGE DESCRIPTION - CHARGE AMOUNT - DAYS SINCE CHARGE - INTEREST (8% PA) - TOTAL

And total each column up at the bottom.

Also at the top you should include your account number, name, claim ref and sort code.

And don't worry it is standard. Make sure you also send a copy to the court (Northampton probably still) to add to your claim file.

The spreadsheets in the library here are quite straightforward to use, but as I say I havent seen the MSE one to compare.
