Hi I'm brand new here and eager to see what goes on.

I’m not at all technical so the chances of me even finding my way back on to here are remote but I’ll give it my best shot.

I’m In the position where Abbey have been overcharging me for years from a n initial error on their behalf- which they’ve accepted and given me £100 ‘goodwill’ payment for (which didn’t even eradicate the additional charges) and has destroyed my credit rating. It’s also affected things like life insurance etc as no payments were being made as all monies were swallowed up in bank charges.

I keep getting letters from debt managers ltd saying they’re taking me to court imminently, meanwhile abbey have not responded to over a year s worth of requests for a list of back charges I’m now following the format laid down by martin the money man’ and have sent a £10 cheque, and hope for a response in the next 18 days. This is not only frustrating, but seriously damaging to my financial health given that I can’t even remortage etc (now tied to the one with abbey funnily enough, at a high rate..) :-x

Hi annoyed,and welcome

You've come to the right place to get back your charges.

Just read the FAQ's and have a look in the forum for your bank and read the experiences others have had. Above all don't rush in without plenty of reading. When you are happy, start a new thread in the section for your institution that you are claiming against, and away you go. There are lots of people to help you, but don't forget this is a very much a self help site.

Have a look through these links

Example Step-By-Step Instructions

Good luck but you won't need it
