Hi,

I have hunted to answer your question however do not appear to be able to find an answer that would cover it as criminal.

Civil matters such as many that come under the Consumer Credit Act are remedied by civil tortes (civil laws).

So fail to see where they can have committed a criminal act as such - unless they are commiting fraud and seeking to obtain money by deception.

Perhaps PM me with what you are seeking exactly and a few more details?

It will be an offence under the CCA - which will be dealt with by trading standards. SOmewhere in the act there is reference to the fines that can be imposed on the creditor, it is not something that the debtor needs to worry about after it has been reported.
