Hi Alien

Welcome to CAG.

You can claim back any penalty charges on your business account - ie. charges incurred by you going over your overdraft limit, bounced cheque/dd payments etc. YOu will not be able to claim back standard business banking charges (ie for paying in a cheque and service fees) if your in any doubt as to whic charges you can claim list a few here and someone will be able to help you out a bit.

You can claim penalty charges back in the same way you can for a personal accounts..there are slight differences in the arguments used and law relied on and you'll find info in the templates library. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/64975-business-claims-basic-guide.html

Hope that helps

xx

It depends on the charge you are trying to claim back, if they are charges that are made to operate you account ie writing chq's paying money in then I don't think you can claim them,

Hi - this is my first post.

I have been told by my bank that I am unable to claim back the charges on my business account - is this right?

Do not take any notice of what the banks tell you. They will tell give you you nonsense all the way and compound this with devious delaying tactics.

You can of course claim back your penalty charges, but not as mariejader says the normal account operating charges.
