Hi,

I do not have many charges to claim back from Haliprats, however I have the following on my statements "Interest Debited - notified last month"

1) what is this....

2) can I claim these back...

My whole claim only amounts to around £100, but its better off in my pocket rather that theirs:grin:

Dunno - suggest you call or pop into branch and ask! I've got that entry on my statements and I am including them!

I did on my first claim of six years - came to an extra £70 - and got it.

Did the same on my second claim, but as the interest only came to another couple of quid, when the Halifax offered me all my charges back without interest (but without needing to go to court), I'm accepting that.

If you don't ask, you don't get. If it comes to the point that HFX offers you everything except that, you just have to reason if it's worth going to court for the little bit extra.

"Interest Debited - notified last month" can i claim these back they total around £100 but hey better of in my pocket than theres.

The interest debited from your account probably realtes to you using your overdraft facility. I'm not sure that you can claim for this. When you go over your limit, you get charged. You can claim that charge back and the interest relating to that charge.

I popped into my local branch and "jowalshy" you are correct, it is interest debited from an agreed overdraft facility....I have never gone over the agreed overdraft so no charges there to claim back:(

Does anyone know if I can claim this back....as said it is only £100 but better off in my pocket than theirs;)

I am really sorry, but I don't think that you can claim these :(
