Would love some help here.....

Have requested SAR from halifax for 3 loan I had with them some years ago. I have just WON by claim 1991-2006 with my bank account and I am wanting to do the same with the loans.

DAtes are loans are:

opened closed

sept 1991 jan 1994

jan 1994 june 1996

june 1996 april 2000

However, the halifax have replied with the following:

I have run reports on all the roll numbers you supplied but unfortunately none have returned any information. This suggests that they are older than five-six years and they no longer exist on our system.

There is an annual system job that deletes loans off our system that are older than five years

Now, where do I stand? How come they keep bank accounts but not loans??

Not entirely sure about this wilks, but would suggest the following:

1) Call customer services and ask them to fish around for the loan details whilst on the phone. If they can retrieve anything, ask them to send it to you;

2) Go into your local branch and do the same, ask someone to try and locate the old loan accounts. They may be able to bring something up.

See how you get on with that.
