Hi all

First poster, just got a question about how the charges appear on the statements.

On an HSBC statement(well mine at least) it just says Total charges with an amount that vary should i take this as charges for being Overdrawn???

After 2005 it clearly says Overdrawn limit and this is £25 but some other charges are for £27.50 or £18 but no detail as to what they are.

Any help would be good thanks

Adam

Contact the bank and ask them to give you a break-down of the charges.

If you don't get a satisfactory response, then claim them all.

hello akcy, and a warm welcome to you!

If you are talking about a personal account, then this charge represents excess overdrawn charges... you claim them all on top of the other charges applied through the month. have a look through, you will see things like card misuse and returned DD, things like that.

hi akcy... just type in on your spreadsheeet exactly what it says on your statement. if it says 'total charges' then type that in... simple as that! it's usually the total charges that make up most of the claim that you will get back. good luck

If i've been helpful in any way....then tip my scales over there!
