anyone had problems with claiming bank charges from natwest ?

they have charged me 2700 over 6 years while i was a poor student. these people sicken me. They have tried delay tactics like writing to me at home and saying they dont have my home address so they can't process my claim. i had to write to them twice sending registered letters confirming my home address , before thay would process my claim. its taken weeks to get them to register my claim and now they are saying that it will take 8 weeks to process. I went into my local branch , where they did try to call the centre thats dealing with it but to no big surprise was met with the no can do look that these people are so good at pulling.i am getting married in 3 weeks. we cant afford a honey moon. its so frustrating trying to get hold of these people to get back what they {edit}from me .has anyone got any suggestions as to how i can speed this thing along ? my claim is registered with them now from 28th march.

Ok if you have your statements and you know the amount you are reclaiming have you sent the prelim letter? If you have then its 14 calender days for them to respond. If they dont respond with teh cas then you send the LBA again giving them 14 days. Should they again not pay the cash you need to issue a claim for the cash.

HAve a read through the FAQs and the step by step instructions (linked in my signature) these will guide you through the process. Start a thread in your bank forum and post your questions/progress there.
