Hi there,

Got a letter from the Court yesterday basically saying that the judge orders that the claim is stayed until 16th April to enable both parties to attempt settlement. I returned my allocation q'aire a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone have any idea what this means, in plain English?!

With many thanks

Sounds like B's are admitting they cant cope with the demand..

All this is, is the goal posts have been moved, same outcome in the end.

Its almost certain that Barclays asked for this stay on their allocation questionnaire in an effrt to delay the settlement and to further try to avoid paying on this claim.

There is a sticky somewhere for reqeusting this stay is lifted, i recommend you do a bit of a search and use the info therein.

I can alsmot guarantee they wont enter into any serious negotiations and will ignore any correspondence you send if you do try to settle.

This also opens them up even further to an aplication from you to the court for costs based on their unreasonable behaviour unless they actively try to settle.

Oh and yes i do mean claim for full costs whatver track your in even small claims court.

PS if you do look for the thread re stay removal i think GaryH has been activeliy involved in developing that thread so perhaps look for stuff by him.
