I'm a little concerned as i'm up to my overdraft limit and i'm concerned that if i try and claim barclays will stop my overdraft facility which would really leave me in trouble?

does anyone know if they can do this?

P.S. who do i make the £10 cheque for the dpa letter out to?

many thanks.

you really need to read a few of the other threads, the FAQ's & the step by step instructions.

there is also a list of where to write too.

the cheque is made out to .........barclays bank.

and no , i doubt any bank will take any action that could even mildly be deemed as retalitory, several have already been fined for such.

good luck

have a good read and take your time, there is no rush

we are all here to help

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Barclays haven't really stopped facilities/services, but you should be aware that it could happen, make sure you open another account - with an overdraft facility - just in case:)

And your cheque needs to be made out to Barclays Bank Plc and the London E1 address is fine that cheesepickle is perfect.

Good luck with it.

Hi, 'outfoxed'

I had the same an overdraft up to its max, and living to it.

I claimed on TWO accounts both with O/D's.

I went on to sucessfully claim back ALL charges and costs etc without much bother,

accounts havent been cancelled [yet LOL].

But I have used the money claimed to clear the amounts so really they have no grounds to penalise me now.

Of course B's CAN close an account or withdraw the facility at any time, this is in the T & C's but it is rare unless you are managing your finances poorly.

The £10 fee, you can send it by means of a chq, they will prob send it back to you, most requests are being dealt with, with no charge.

Another thing, any correspondence you send to B's always do it via Recorded Delivery, for the sake of £1, you can prove they received it. this is now a common thing with B's claiming thay are not receiving certain items from claimants such as SAR's etc

good luck
