I have just had a heated discussion with the HSBC customer service centre about bank charges. Basically i inadvertantly allowed my account to go over my overdraft limit and have transferred funds from my business account into my personal account to cover this, unfortunately my business acount is with Barclays and it will take 3 days to appear in my HSBC account.

Subsequently i have been charged £25 for an overdraft arrangement fee, which they are telling me is quite legal and is in their T's & C's. The reason for the changes in name from charge to arrangement fee is due to press coverage over bank charges and they have now modified their T's & C's to say this is an arrangement fee.
