I just looked at my statement to find that NatWest had charged me £35 for going £20 overdrawn yesterday- no letter involved just a charge for allowing a pos transaction to go through.

I thought this unfair so I phoned and told them I wanted it refunded, they said it was a legitimate charge. I said, look, I am perfectly happy to go through the whole rigmoral of getting the past 6 years of statements, charging you interest, threatening you with court, taking you to court blah blah blah but don't you think it would be an awful lot easier for you to just refund it?

Ok she said it wil be in your account within 48 hours.

Nice one James. 6 months ago it would have been "adios amigo." Fortunately times have changed. If you don't get your money back send them an LBA. This thread might interest you. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/75107-its-only-30-but.html

Its your money taken unlawfully from your account and you have a legal right to claim it back.
