I am helping someone claim their charges back, have checked their statements and their is only a 'total charges' listing.

they have a business account, how exactly would i find out for them how this is broke down, as it says in FAQ: Important!

For buisness accounts ONLY the "total charges" include a combination of reclaimable and genuine charges, and you will need a breakdown to exactly know what proportion of "total charges" are unlawful.

Also, when working out the 8%, assuming they may get a chance to claim this, do i just add the single monthly 'total charge' date in the interest calculator - eg:charges for month up to 16th Feb 2003, as there is no specific date for whatever that 'total' includes....?!

It is important that you get a breakdown of the total charges before claiming it, as there may be some items non claimable. I am currently claiming 2 business accounts and one of them has got a total charge of £248.00. I haven't been very sucessful as yet in finding out the breakdown, but I know that by going into your branch or speaking to your relationship manager you will be able to find out. I am gambling with it at the moment as I am on LBA stage, but if I decide to go to court, i will have to review those charges and claim only what is claimable.

Halifax - £245 - SETTLED - in full

MBNA Business - £190 - SETTLED - in full

HSBC - Closed business a/c - £1,850 - SETTLED IN FULL

HSBC - Business a/c - £4,388 - SETTLED FOR £4,100

Nat West Card - SETTLE IN FULL - £124.71

Halifax Credit Card - MCOL 26th May 2007

Egg - 1st LBA 12th May 2007
